First published in 1952 by the WIZO instructors' committee and reprinted through the 1960s, this is one of the foundational texts of the Israeli kitchen, the kind of book that was passed hand to hand and used until the spine gave out. The fact that it was also translated into German gives you a sense of how seriously it was regarded as a document of Jewish-Israeli domestic life in the young state.
